Cubby’s Creeper “Steady Now” Gets a West Coast Remix from Karman
Hear the LA producer’s agitated re-work of the NYC artist’s bleak summer jam.

When she posted moody, mumbled "Steady Now," by rising NYC producer Cubby, my editor Ruth noted that the song and its corresponding video clip are "kinda eerie but kinda enticing at the same time." Today we get an agitated remix of that bleak summer jam courtesy of Beverly Hills beatsmith Karman that preserves that paradox but still sounds like its own glitchy thing. While the source song is like tip-toeing through an old creepy attic, the last minute or so of Karman's edit—streaming below—is like crashing through the rotten floorboards and tumbling into some type of darkness.
