It’s indisputable that John Malkovich has proven himself one, but now he’s taken it a step further and recreated some of the most famous photos ever in a collaboration with photographer Sandro Miller, subtly inserting his self into collective memory. Emma Watson Gives Brilliant Feminist UN Speech, 4chan User Acts like Loser
After her powerful speech about feminism for the UN campaign HeForShe, an anonymous user on 4chan threatened to treat Watson with the insane lack of respect that so many other famous women have received recently and invade her privacy by leaking nude photographs of her, typing, "She makes stupid feminist speeches at UN, and now her nudes will be online, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH." Dude feels his power threatened/dude threatens to leak nude photographs of woman calling into question the unfair gender hierarchy undeniably at work in our society. Deeply depressing. Steven Soderbergh Re-Edits Raiders of the Lost Ark in Black and White, Scores It with Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor music
In a move that doesn't necessarily make intuitive sense, but is wonderful anyway, Steven Soderbergh has re-edited his classic film Raiders of the Lost Ark in black and white, scoring it with Reznor/Ross music from David Fincher's The Social Network and the forthcoming Gone Girl, and on top of that has written about it "for educational purposes" in order to teach people about staging. We certainly didn't see it coming, but we're grateful.
Hayao Miyazaki's Production Company Has a New Film Coming Out
It’s literally impossible not to love Hayao Miyazaki, known for his iconic films such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Princess Mononoke. The production company he co-founded, Studio Gibli, has a new dreamlike film coming out; it's called The Tale of Princess Kaguya and you can check out the trailer above.
