Washington DC's Yung Gleesh shares the same slurred, melodic auto-tuned style of fellow District rappers Fat Trel and Shy Glizzy. On "Turned Out," off his recently released Cleansides Finest 3, Gleesh leans on that hook-heavy style to his benefit, and is joined by Atlanta staple Peewee Longway, landing from a different planet altogether. Where Gleesh mushes his words together--dashowahtuhndowt--Longway's bars hit precise in sharp contrast: move packs I ain't never seen a drought, that's word to my DC clout (Gleeshy!) It's a dizzying listen, bridging two cities through a common love for the come up.
