Iceage Shares “Glassy Eyed, Dormant and Veiled,” the Fourth Single from New LP

Since July, Iceage has been steadily rolling out tracks from its aesthetic-rupturing new full-length, Plowing Into the Field of Love. Interestingly, the complete lyrics to each new song have consistently been included in the YouTube video descriptions, a welcome reminder to pay close attention to the band's slurred poetry. On "Glassy Eyed, Dormant And Veiled,"—the record's newest, BBC-premiered single—vocalist Elias Rønnenfelt howls lines like Don’t think I did not hear you coming home last night/ I am an absent father over jarringly arranged instruments: clobbering drums, distant horns, aggressively strummed acoustic guitars. Listening, it's clear the Danish four-piece has been busy experimenting with imagery and perspective, not just genre. Plowing Into the Field of Love is out October 7th on Matador; you can hear the first, second and third singles now.
