Listen to Baio’s New EP of Sad-but-Happy Bleeps

Kinda-sad-but-also-sort-of-happy bleeps are the stock of Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio's solo project, Baio. "I think you can be optimistic about your future, but no matter what, time is still going by," he told The FADER in a pensive moment around the release of his 2012 debut EP, Sunburn. Now he's back with a new EP on Club Mod titled On&On&On&On/Missive, due out September 29th, which hones the "hopeful melancholy" he spoke of into something brighter and more urgent. Yes, there are parallels to be drawn with the likes of Four Tet and Caribou but there's a gentleness here that is worth some time in your ear. Listen in full below.
