Die-hard fans of Michael Jackson and Queen’s Freddie Mercury know that the two late music legends shared a history together. It was the King of Pop who suggested that the band release the disco-sounding track “Another Bites the Dust,” which eventually became one of Queen’s American number one hits in 1980. And during the early '80s, Jackson and Mercury worked in the studio together that yielded an unfinished song, “There Must Be More To Life Than This,” that was never officially released—although Mercury’s own version of the song was featured in his 1985 solo album Mr. Bad Guy. Now three decades later, the Jackson-Mercury recording of “There Must Be More to Life Than This," produced and remixed by William Orbit, will finally come to light on a new Queen compilation called Queen Forever, which also includes two other previously unreleased tracks “Let Me In Your Heart Again” and a new version of “Love Kills.” “When I first played it in my studio I opened a trove of delights provided by the greatest of musicians,” said Orbit of the song in a press release announcing the compilation. "Hearing Michael Jackson's vocals was stirring. So vivid, so cool, and poignant, it was like he was in the studio singing live. With Freddie's vocal solo on the mixing desk, my appreciation for his gift was taken to an even higher level." Queen Forever will be released on November 10.
