Watch Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino and Her Cat in a New PETA Ad
The singer and her adopted pet are the new faces of a new PETA campaign to promote animal adoption.
When we recently visited Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino for The FADER’s At Home series, we caught several glimpses of her beloved adopted cat, Snacks, inside their Los Angeles abode. Now the feline—who even has his own Twitter account—is prominently featured along with her rock star owner as part of PETA’s latest campaign on animal adoption (below), Spin reported Wednesday. "He's just important to me,” Cosentino said in a behind-the-scenes video (above), “because I live by myself, so sometimes if I'm scared because I heard a noise, or lonely or whatever, there's literally a living breathing being next to me." She added that her fans have told her they had adopted animals as well. "It’s really cool to just feel like this thing that you love so much—and that you’re kind of nerdy about loving sometimes—that it’s affecting people in a way that’s making them go out and save an animal, or making them be more involved with the animal that they already have." As you experience the love between Cosentino and the cat she calls her “son” from the video, check out some of the behind-the-scenes photos from our visit with the singer.
