Josef Salvat, the London singer-songwriter with an ear for pop hooks, just dropped “Open Season.” The track, streaming below, is brimful of the honeyed vocals and pulsating rhythms we couldn’t get enough of on “Hustler,” but Salvat mixes things up from that brooding early track with a faster, foot-tapping, even wider-reaching pop sound. With its crooning about re-tangling strayed paths and faith, “Open Season” offers up the perfect prelude to Salvat's eagerly anticipated In Your Prime EP, which drops Monday via Columbia.
