Early this week, a friend asked me what my fashion week essentials were. "Band-aids and a discreet flask," I deadpanned. "Why band-aids," he asked, "Is fashion week a contact sport? Haha." Haha, indeed. Fashion week is a contact sport between your feet and the pavement and there is no mercy and it is no joke. The evening after I stepped out in sandals instead of my white Vans I literally wept in the shower. Clearly the NYFW veterans below figured it out before I did, so picked up what they're laying down. We culled our favorite NYFW sneaker looks from street style blogs and around the web. If there's a takeaway here, it's that comfort is king and no matter what, keep your kicks clean.
