Listen to lo sé’s Fantasma EP, Three Songs of Home-Recorded Indie Pop from Amsterdam
Stream the Netherlands-based producer/songwriter’s latest, out now on CSCN.
Earlier this year we wrote about a tape compilation curated by Soundcloud scavenger Odd Castles that featured songwriters like Alex G, Sea Oleena, RL Kelly, along with an eternally re-playable Fleetwood Mac cover by vocoder queen Emily Reo. One of the contributors we admittedly overlooked the first time around was Amsterdam-based songwriter lo sé. Fantasma is his new three-song EP of home-recorded, heartstring-tugging pop productions. The last lyric of the last song is the release's most clearly vocalized sentiment: As real as you want it to be. It's repeated a couple times over warbly guitars and synth embellishments before the song fades out entirely, like the way the specifics of a good dream vanish in the morning and you're just sitting there staring at the ceiling, smiling about nothing. Fantasma, streaming below in full, is out now on indie label Cascine's new-ish singles offshoot, CSCN.
