Though the news van lights have dimmed in Ferguson, the issues surrounding the protests in Missouri are still felt. Trinidad Jame$ takes his own stab at the issues of black men and law enforcement on "Mr. Officer." The gospel chorus, sung by a gummy choir of kids over a Keywane breakbeat, makes the song that much more affecting than the narrative of a routine police stop gone wrong. But on "448" he's back to scheduled programming, a straightforward trap banger that James attacks with a welcomed joy. There's two sides to every all gold coin.
