Iceage Shares Third LP Details; Watch a Video for Album Cut, “Forever”
The Danish four-piece share details of their third full-length, ‘Plowing Into the Field of Love.’
At the end of July, Copenhagen four-piece Iceage dropped a video for "The Lord's Favorite," a slurred, rockabilly-indebted song that sounds like The Pogues covered by nihilists. Today, the band has officially given word that its third full-length, Plowing Into the Field of Love, is coming out next month. "The Lord's Favorite" is on there, and so is "Forever," a track that's decidedly more aligned with their usual style of pummeling, wild-eyed rock. It seems to have a slightly further-reaching scope, though, probably because of the violins and horns, or because of Elias Bender Rønnenfelt's gloomy, matured vocals, which are basically isolated as he repeats I’d lose myself forever over and over. It's tightly-wound melancholy, carefully arranged to sound like a perfect mess. Plowing Into The Field Of Love is out October 7th on Matador; that's the album art down below.
