Suge Knight was shot multiple times at a pre-VMAs party at West Hollywood's 1OAK club in the early hours of this morning (Sunday August 24), TMZ reports.
The 49-year-old mogul was rushed to hospital after being shot between two and six times. The incident took place around 1.30am local time at a party being hosted by Chris Brown and Pia Mia and attended by Justin Bieber and The Game. Two others were reportedly hit, including an unnamed victim who is currently in critical condition. A TMZ update states that Knight's family have confirmed that he has undergone emergency surgery and is now recovering in ICU.
A few hours after the shooting, Brown tweeted, "It's disappointing that we as a society can't have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes."
This would make the second time Knight has been shot at a pre-VMAs event, after receiving a gunshot wound to the leg during Kanye West's VMA party in 2005. The 2014 VMAs will take place tonight at the Inglewood Forum in California.
