G.O.O.D Music gremlin-in-residence Travi$ Scott quietly dropped Days Before Rodeo last night, a jagged batch of deep purple autotune and demonic synth and snare. It peaks at track two: "Mamacita" uncoils with a five-star Trav verse, but the song bursts open when Rich Homie Quan's hook rolls around. Seriously, Quan may have the hardest hooks out right now--rolling syllables from a gruff, slack-jawed voice that sounds like midnight in Atlanta. Thugger does his best Mixtape Weezy yet, and hearing him declare I do not fuck with America, I get it straight off the boat feels particularly sweet during days like these, even if he's talking about the plug instead of the pigs.
