Future Turns His Back on Romance on “Monster”

Future has shared the first track off an upcoming project that may or may not be called Evol—which, pronounced like "evil" and spelled like "love" backwards—is rumored to be a celebration of less than typical ways of loving. Here, the newly minted bachelor, sounding perhaps a tad defeated in moments, gives romance the cold shoulder in favor of the "Monster" life: I'm just living my life and I'ma get me some money, he sings, again and again. I don't be trusting these hoes, I just be smashing these hoes. The eerie, too-real record was co-produced by Metro Boomin and 808 Mafia's Southside. The mixtape is currently set for an October release, and the video for "Monster" is expected soon.
