FADER PREMIERE
Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang is a pretty diverse crew, ranging from the rap hall-of-famer Juicy J to R&B's latest pied piper Ty Dolla $ign. Their latest acquisition is Tuki Carter, an Atlanta tattoo artist who put the mic on Canibus' arm back in '97, and has inked up every rapper who's rolled through the ATL at his famous City of Ink shop. Today, he dropped a new song called "Yeah," a breezy boast laid over crunchy drums, that relishes in clowning other lesser rappers: You like a big ass car parked at your momma's house / I'm more like a big ass crib and I buy my pops a house. There's shades of Kendrick's flow and Wiz's charm, and quite a backstory--it appears the spacey "Yeah" is another step towards Tuki carving out his own corner. Tuki's Tuki Tape drops August 13th.
