The line between sound and image, between a piece of music and a visual representation, has never been more blurred. The one shapes the other, burning two-way reflections into our senses. Wise to that, a couple of years ago, London avant-garde producer Actress' Werkdiscs label launched a sister company called Werkhaus, essentially a loose collective of visual artists who work super closely with Werkdiscs' music artists to visual-track their output. Their output has always been exciting—Nic Hamilton's CGI work especially—but now they've surpassed themselves and produced a film short for "Attitude" from Moiré's debut album Shelter. It tells the story of a wavy night out—colors, shapes and bodies all falling into one another, much like the track itself—and evokes sensations that anyone even on the fringes of club culture will recognize. Plus, there's a brilliant Actress cameo too. Werkdiscs/Ninja Tune will release Moiré's debut album Shelter on August 18th.
