But don't get it twisted: critics of the Boston emcee's daily routine are politely told to "get off [his] vas deferens." Christmas and Atlanta wailer ILOVEMAKONNEN are both FADER favs right now, and teamed up to remix Tunji Ige's airy "Day2Day," adding an extra set of bars from two of the more eccentric personalities in hip-hop, only adding to the song's charismatic aplomb. Midway through the track, the buoyant beat gives way to a straight electro backdrop, the ideal setting for Makonne to brag about the game he spits and weed he holds. Though each live different day-to-days — Christmas' boasts are cut short by his mom's wake-up call, while Ige cruises to his "other home" downtown — the message is simple: don't let your girlfriend around any of these dudes.
