French Montana is a rap triple threat: he raps, sings and haaaaaans. But not all rappers are so gifted and often need to rely on the talents of a female vocalist to give their music some crossover appeal. That is the formula Fabolous has used for over a decade, like when "Into You" burrowed Tamia's "So Into You" back in 2003 to get a Top 5 hit. Wale tried a similar trick with Lady Gaga (and found less success) on "Chillin." But here, along with French Montana, they relish the moment to make obtuse jokes and references to the last decade or so of R&B singers.
