Rappers--not unlike most people--have a tendency to lie and say they're from a town bigger than their own. Residents of the suburbs defer to the nearest big major, and country folk often just go with a state's name, as if they nomad across the entire district instead of bunking in a town with a population of 8000. Childish Major and Matik Estrada don't shy away from their small town roots on "Family Matters," where they travel down to film in Edgefield, South Carolina. The producer and rapper duo give a look into their world of homemade biscuits, tractor street signs, empty roads and vast fields that never seem to end. It's a precious postcard to the land that allowed these two artists to bloom.
