FADER PREMIERE
"Hypnotic" is a dancey psych track by San Francisco duo Painted Palms that kind of sounds like Delorean except a bit less European. Here, it gets a remix by killing-it-right-now beatsmith/songwriter Ryan DeRobertis better known as SAINT PEPSI, who recently signed to Carpark. If the original is "hypnotic" then SAINT PEPSI's edit teeters on "quixotic," with DeRobertis' touting his now familliar-sounding synth squeals, percussive rattles and uptempo, starry-eyed, summertime rooftop BBQ production. Listen above, watch a trippy/funny interview in which Painted Palms' lead singer has a conversation with himself, and peep some Painted Palms/Saint Pepsi joint-tour dates below.
