Today, luxury e-commerce sites Mr. Porter and Net-A-Porter have announced that starting June 23rd, they are partnering with Google to release to the public a limited edition run of Diane Von Furstenberg-designed Google Glasses. Set to release on June 23, the glasses had previously only been available through a Google application process called the Explorer program that was vetted and limited. Slow to catch on, Google had been hoping that teaming up with fashion brands would help bolster their trendiness and help normalize them to audiences—using Net-A-Porter and Mr. Porter as their first ever third-party retailer seems like the next step in that plan. Head to Net-A-Porter for more information.
