The rumor mill was working overdrive yesterday. One minute Kanye was apparently gonna perform at Hudson Mohawke's show last night at New York's Webster Hall. The next minute Björk was a dead cert to accompany him onstage. It was the "& Friends" bit of the Glaswegian producer's RBMA gig that had everyone in a tizzy. While both features were entirely believable—he produced on Yeezus and has remixed the Icelandic superstar—the friends HudMo did show up with were just as woooow. In a room flooded with LuckyMe's high-pigment light show, FADER favorites Le1f, Travi$ Scott and Bodega Bamz all spat bars and then, in a real double-take move, the stately figure of Antony and the Johnson's Antony Hegarty took to the stage and delivered a heartstring-slicing performance over Mohawke's fearless beats. Now that's a collaboration no-one saw coming. Way to go, HudMo.
