A judge has thrown out Dr. Dre’s most recent lawsuit against Death Row Records for back payments on royalties.

May 10, 2014

A judge has just ruled on Dr. Dre's $3 million lawsuit against Death Row Records, stemming from 1996 -- the year Dre claims he stopped receiving royalties from The Chronic. In 2010, he sued Death Row Records and won. But, as AllHipHop points out, three months ago Dre sued Death Row again for back payments from mechanical royalties, artist-producer royalties, and digital sales. He also wanted bonus pay from album sales while the label was in bankruptcy. Now, according to TMZ, the judge has thrown out the case. Lucky for Dre, $3 million is like pocket change now that he's allegedly "the first billionaire in hip-hop."
