Today, Epic Records has confirmed that Michael Jackson’s first posthumous LP, XSCAPE, is on its way, sharing the album's May 13th release date and artwork. This eight-track album is being executive produced by LA Reid, who has been allowed unlimited access to decades of Jackson’s vocal archives and is enlisting an all-star roster of producers, including Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain, to spruce them up. The team seeks to “contemporize” the original recordings while “retaining Jackson’s essence and integrity.” XSCAPE will be available for pre-order on iTunes on April 1st.
