I've been waiting impatiently to hear more from Zuse since his utterly insane "Red," off Zooly Gvng's self-titled mixtape last year. The Atlanta-via-Kingston rapper combines dancehall's throaty, melodic patois with the full-throttle shout-rap of the likes of Future or Que. His latest, the snarling, rap-hands-friendly "Mayday," sees him joining forces with fellow enigma Young Thug. Atlanta up-and-comer Metro Boomin handles the beat; it's not his most dynamic production ever, but it's a perfect backdrop for two rappers known for taking complete comand of a track. Zuse's debut mixtape, Bullet, is due out soon.
