Yesterday was the final day of this year's edition of The FADER FORT Presented by Converse, and it's safe to say we went out in style. Day 4's lineup was stacked, including performances by Young & Sick, Wet, JoJo, Travi$ Scott, Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, and more. SZA, who pulled a fast-one on Wednesday by hopping on stage during Isaiah Rashad's FORT set, facilitated her own surprise: bringing out TDE roster-mate Schoolboy Q to perform "Man Of The Year." It was a great day for rock, too; Arizona punks Destruction Unit and Philly darkgaze crew Nothing both performed immersive, loud-as-hell sets on The FORT stage. After sundown, the one and only Erykah Badu performed a series of chilled-out soul tunes and later, she joined Saturday-night headliner Rick Ross to provide a mellow interlude during the hip-hop kingpin's high-energy set. Even before Ross took the stage, though, surprise guest and Texas legend Bun B psyched-up The FORT crowd by performing a couple of the iconic tracks he's been featured on. Ross had every reason to be pumped last night: his sixth studio album, Mastermind, just topped the hip-hop charts, and he translated that excitement into a pretty unforgettable closing-night set. It's been an absolutely insane year at The FORT, and it wouldn't have been the same without our teammates Converse and Mazda, the live-stream gurus at Dell and Intel, the socially-concious homies at Glass Is Life, the professional thirst-quenchers at vitaminwater®, or Budweiser and Captain Morgan White — who kept the ice-cold drinks coming until the very end. Check out a slideshow of selected Saturday highlights above, and find all of our The FADER FORT Presented by Converse coverage right here. See y'all next year!
