By this point, Ellen Dusen of Dusen Dusen is an expert at walking a tightrope between cute and cool. The Brooklyn-based womenswear designer, who first landed on FADER’s radar back in 2010, has a way of making sweet, candy-colored clothing that’s irresistible to even the most monochromatic dressers. For fall, Dusen stuck to what she does best: quirky prints and elevated basics. “The collection was inspired by Jonas Wood paintings, Her, Grass Widow, Arthur Russell, Ceramics, and my dog and her friends (and my friends),” she tells FADER. Shot by photographer Amanda Jasnowski, check out a few highlights from Dusen's fall lookbook below, which hits her site in August.
