Under most circumstances, I'd say Pen & Pixel throwback album art is played out, but if you actually sound like late-’90s/early-’00s Cash Money Records like Detroit group Doughboyz Cashout, you're more than welcome. We Run the City is the group's first full-length release since signing to Jeezy's CTE imprint. Its 19 tracks meld a reverence for the heyday of Cash Money and No Limit, a touch of the West Coast's sparse slap (Jeezy's new obsession, seemingly), and good old fasioned Midwest grittiness.
