Coachella revealed its headliners through a slow-leak of tweets. Today Governors Ball did almost the exact opposite, announcing its full lineup the old-fashioned, ink-stained way: with a full-page ad in The New York Times (below via). No surprise, a reunited OutKast top the bill as part of their 40-date tour. Joining them as headliners are 21st century festival mainstays Jack White and Vampire Weekend.
Further down the bill other notable acts include Disclosure, Grimes, Janelle Monae, TV on the Radio, Skrillex, Phoenix, James Blake, Tyler and Earl Sweatshirt, Kurt Vile, Chance the Rapper, AlunaGeorge, Tanlines, Deafheaven, The Internet and more. All of which amounts to good news for East Coasters: looks like Governors Ball will pose serious competition to Coachella this year. The three-day festival will be held on Randall's Island June 6 to 8. Tickets go on sale today at 3 PM EST and can be purchased here.
