We celebrated the release of FADER #87, our Fall Fashion issue, last night at Converse Rubber Tracks, the accessible-to-all recording studio in Williamsburg. Budweiser hooked up cold beers and D'ussé poured cocktails while Steve Summers, of electronic crew L.I.E.S., profiled in the issue, spun gems from the label's thick catalog of forward-pushing house and techno. Kicking off FADER's new year of Brooklyn Bound concerts, Mac DeMarco played a sweet acoustic set before Mac Miller jumped onstage in a Polo button-up, doing a half-hour show of Watching Movies with the Sound Off deep cuts. Earlier in the day, he'd shouted out Lil B on the Today Show, and he continued spreading that love through the evening, performing a "based baptism" to "I'm God." After the show, Mac and co-cover star Sky Ferreira hung backstage around a bowl of tortilla chips. Read Mac and Sky's cover stories and buy the issue. Then check out photos from the party above and sign up for our mailing list for invites to FADER parties around the country.
