On Saturday, August 17th in New York, veteran Philly producer and DJ King Britt will hitting the decks at MoMA PS1 Warm Up, where you can also expect performances from J. Cole, Bangladesh, Mr. MFN eXquire and Darq E Freaker, who recently made us a mix. Coincidentally, King Britt just dropped this video for "Chasing Rainbows," a track from this spring's Fhloston Paradigm EP, an alias he says he created to "celebrate my love of science fiction movies, afro-futurism and analog keyboards." Somewhere between an existential man/nature meditation and a cautionary tale on the perils of starting fires in the forest, this collaboration between Crushedblack visual media and Nicodemus Atrium Gallerie cuts ominously between footage of a woman dancing around a campfire in a forest at night and then wearing a gas-mask in order to breathe there the next day. Fhloston Paradigm EP is out now on Hyperdub, with a full-length by the same name to follow in 2014.
