For their new "Trying to Be Cool" video, Phoenix tapped the Spanish masters of collaged action and soft colors behind the directing collective CANADA, known for their work with El Guincho, Justice and Javiera Mena. With backing from The Creators Project, it was shot by two camera crews, each taking 25-second sweep shots then cutting immediately to the other crew. Sounds stressful, but looks pretty laid-back.
