Every week a different FADER staff member will pick a clothing item or accessory that he or she has lately been spending a lot of time with—or would like to—and write a little love letter to it. We would’ve done a column on who we’re dating but that seemed a little bit much. This week Amber talks about Hare + Hart's Mama Pouch.
For a person who tends to err large in the bag accessory arena, Hare + Hart’s Mama Pouch is the ultimate regulator. Give me any bag and I'll fill it with lipsticks, chapsticks, clothes, bottles, books, magazines, wallet, lunch... In other words, I need all the help I can get to tone down the things I lug around. Basically, I need a mama who'll wag a finger at me and say, Do you really think you're going to read two magazines AND a book on the train? Do you really think you need to bring every lipstick you own today? Or, better yet, if I do, she'd instill some order in this shit show, which is precisely what the Mama pouch does. It's like a small universe in the big black chasm that is my purse. And this chesnut haircalf/black leather combo is like a light in the dark, so when I'm fishing for my hand cream, while balancing my coffee, while swiping my metro card, I might not miss the train.
