Stream: Hyparxia (as channeled by Prince Rama), “Welcome To the Now Age”

Last time we heard a missive from Prince Rama’s new album, Ten Hits For The End of The World, the Larson sisters were "channeling" a fictional, British post-punk collective and sex cult by the name of I.M.M.O.R.T.A.L.I.F.E.. This time around, they've incarnated another imaginary outfit called Hyparxia, a computer-generated band whose sound, a sonic "averaging" of decades worth of easy listening and soft rock music, is meant to realize the idea of utopia in musical form. Like all of the other tracks on the LP, which drops November 11th via Pawtracks, "Welcome To the Now Age" fits into an imaginary roster of the ten most popular songs in the world on the day the world ended; dubby and infectious, it's an unlikely, sing-along anthem for something that the band is calling the "Now Age."
