Gosha Rubchinskiy’s Simple Spring 2013 Collection

October 18, 2012

Gosha Rubchinskiy’s menswear feels like the freshest, most relevant around. Made in conjunction with Japanese avant-gardists Comme des Garçons, the 26-year-old Russian designer built his collection around simple, un-fashiony ideas like the common workout sweatsuit and the subtle mock turtleneck. After a few seasons of all-over prints and Givenchy rottweiler T-shirts dominating men's runways, his classic sportswear, always modeled on his clean-shaven, short-haired friends in his hometown of Moscow, is spot on. They've got a small stock of Gosha's current fall collection over at Opening Ceremony now, but this peak at next year's spring looks have us wanting to throw out every color we own to make room for his easy wardrobe of white, black and grey and his now signature look: a simple zipper-necked, fleece-like sweater.
