In a post-Purity Ring world, Cecil Frena bka Born Gold’s music will probably go over pretty well. This isn't a bad thing by any means. It's more like Frena is using a sound that incorporates everything ever as a launching point to further explore. His pop inclinations aren't as prominent as Purity Ring's, which is pretty evident in the way the vocals here are so processed, they sound like a chorus of aliens, but it allows him to delve deeper into the weirder aspects of electronic music, while still producing songs that strike deep emotional chords. Technically, "Ferocious Body" and "Against Silence" are two separate tracks, but they flow into each other so smoothly, they work better as a unit. Little Sleepwalker, in all its accessibly weird glory, will be released on Audraglint October 23rd.
