Cardo is a distinctive producer with a style that adapts well to a diverse range of artists. Like DJ Quik, one of his favorite producers, Cardo has also begun working on instrumental releases; tomorrow he drops his debut EP, Everything I$ Gold, on Fool's Gold. Lead single "My Old$chool" promises a familiar and comfortable sound, something like Kool & The Gang's "Summer Madness" in an uptempo rap template and for a new generation.
