Danny Brown has been rapping with his cousin Dopehead since the early 2000s. First they teamed with fellow Detroiter Chip$ as the group Rese’vor Dogs, then, after an attempted Roc-A-Fella deal fell through, rebranded as Bruiser Brigade. Even as he rose to FADER cover status (and Chip$ found himself in prison), Brown kept with the team, who'll now get their highest profile release yet courtesy of Scion AV. A free EP comes out this Wednesday, but you can stream its track "Errthang" now, with a grimy beat by the Brigade's in-house producer, Skywlkr. The way these dudes' unusual voices and flows compliment each other, you wonder why they didn't blow up back then.
