Mike Will Made It, the Atlanta-based producer currently making beats for big releases from 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West, solidifies his reputation as an experimental but dependable producer on Est. In 1989 (Part 2), a new tape that's "damn near like an album" and introduced by Puffy. Alongside some new gems, the collection features already-released resumé notches like Juicy J's "Bands a Make Her Dance," 2 Chainz' "No Lie" and Future’s heart-stopping "Turn on the Lights," one of a suite of ballads Mike Will created for Pluto. Schoolboy Q and Young Joey weave in and out over warm synths and a breathless vocal sample on "I'm Not in Love;" on "Diamonds," which pairs a reunited Future and Gucci Mane with Jeremih, Future's hook bleeds into his stiffly chanted verse, where each line ends with a squelchy high note.
