Sacramento producer Lee Bannon, having served beats for Curren$y and released a solid album on Plug Research, is priming a new instrumental EP called Cope, out September 4th on Waaga. "Cope (The Flood)" is the first track, a sort of Burial-with-rap-percussion number. The song's structure isn't especially complicated, and might benefit from a vocal gracing by a dark-minded MC like Haleek Maul, for example, whose upcoming LP will reportedly feature some Bannon production. Worth keeping an eye on.
