In an abbreviated Twitter essay this morning, beloved songwriter Christopher Owens announced he's leaving the band Girls.

No word yet on what that means for the future of the band, or what exactly Owens has in mind. Hopefully Miley Cyrus will hire him to write songs and he'll get exactly however famous he wants to be. We'll let you know more as we learn it.
