King L dropped a new video yesterday, for "Po Up Slow," but a recent release by one of his associates also calls for some attention. Bubble Eye, a rapper from Chicago's Englewood neighborhood who grew up with Louie (and is a member of his MUBU crew), recently completed his debut mixtape Free My Bros. "Drillin Hard," produced by Snapbackondatrack, is a string-laced sequel to the tape's lead single "Talkin Shit, Manly Shit." Imagine King L with a more traditional, New York-style flow, but with a similar sense for deadpan humor.
