Haleek Maul, the teen rapper from Barbados who told us "some kids hold onto the crutch of being a minor, and that bothers me," has given away his debut EP, Oxyconteen, premiering it with an interview over at FACT. Dark production from two rising Chicago duos, Supreme Cuts and The-Drum, as well as King Britt and Bristol's EPLP, underscores Maul's dark delivery, as bleak as adolescence should sound. Later this summer, Mishka will release his joint mixtape with Supreme Cuts, entitled Chrome Lips. Oxyconteen comes courtesy of London label Merok.
