Brooklyn Bound: Frankie Rose Live at Converse Rubber Tracks

May 21, 2012

There’s a great American tradition of New York being a welcoming port and FADER teamed up with Converse’s new Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn to further it. Once a month, we’ll be welcoming touring artists to the neighborhood with a visit to a local Brooklyn institution, as well as making time for an intimate performance. Catch that exclusive show, interview and MP3s right here.

Frankie Rose, she of the Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts and Dum Dum Girls, and now, her own, infinitely exciting solo material, is a joy to behold while at work, or at play, or whatever you might call sharing music with the world. Playing live on the Converse Rubber Tracks stage, she was magnetic even on "Know Me," which one could potentially read as Rose's "don't try to play me" caveat. On "Daylight Sky" though, Rose and crew offer a softer hand, radiating a different kind of potency altogether. Enjoy performances of both tracks above and below and stay tuned for an interview with the singer at Williamsburg's Momofuku Milk Bar later this week, as well as an exclusive download from her Rubber Tracks set.
