"It's a little brighter in here than usual," Curren$y says at the beginning "Capitol," the newest release from his upcoming Stoned Immaculate LP. "Going to have to smoke a little extra." Nothing could better set up the appeal of Curren$y's music. It's about absolute comfort, and as luxuriant and pristine as the weed, women and wanderlust-filled lifestyle it advertises. "Capitol" floats along like an enveloping, flute-laced dream soundtracked by 1970s CTI records. 2 Chainz, for his part, has always sounded comfortable over relaxed afterparty rap, from "Up In Smoke" to "Feelin You," so his presence feels natural.
