CFCF really couldn't have come up with a more appropriate title for his latest EP, Exercises, which, aside from being a really good record, is a meditation on brutalist architecture and the pretty (and sometimes brutal) ostinato archetypes punched out by minimalist composers like Philip Glass. In that way, Exercises feels most like a variation in theme, a lush but strong statement to the power of saying just a little in limitless variation.
