Belgian producer Cupp Cave, born François Boulanger and also known as Ssaliva, has released a new video from his upcoming album, Retina Waves, due next month on Ramp. "Kid's a Loner" is the second Cupp Cave video directed by Yannick Pirson (an earlier one, for "White Out," is below), who is working an incredible painting-like style, evoking leaf-filled water from the fountain of youth and sped-up satellite shots of forming clouds. It's pretty nine times over, a great match for Boulanger's ethereal sound, with swirling filters eroding his placeless melodies and basement cricket percussion. Retina Waves comes out April 9th.
