After weeks of teasing, Lil B finally drops White Flame, showcasing his re-embrace of darkness. The tape's Soulja Slim-referencing cover art is by far the best in B's Flame series (Red Flame, Black Flame and Red Flame Evil Edition, among others), and it finds the Based God mixing No Limit-leaning throwbacks ("Fuck that Sucka," "Bitch of the City," "I'm Fabio") and soulful pathos ("Surrender to Me," "Neva Switch," "I'm Down 4 Hire"). Keep an ear out for "Fed Time," which samples Prince's "I Would Die 4 U" and features the line, "Shout-out to the FADER, hater!"
