Nearly a decade and a half after their summer 1998 duet "The Boy is Mine" sold 2.5 million (hard!) copies and spent an unprecedented and well-deserved 13 weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100, Brandy and Monica are set to sing together again.
The pair spent last Saturday together in a Miami studio, recording with Rico Love, whose recent production credits include Kelly Rowland's "Motivation" and Mary J. Blige's "Mr. Wrong."
Brandy, now 32, called the session a success, in spite of a bit of vocal trouble. Monica, who has promised an album called New Life for early this year, shared a picture of the reunion.
Wonderful night in the studio! I wasn't 100%, but I gave it my all and it turned out great! Just a little more raspy than normal:)
